Deceased Name: Dr. Robert S. Herzog
Dr. Robert S. Herzog, 86, an internist and a specialist in cardiology, died yesterday at Jeanes Hospital. He lived in the Pennypack Park area.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, he earned a medical degree at Harvard Medical School. From 1929 to 1952, he served on the staff of the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and conducted research into the effects of cholesterol.
He came to Philadelphia in 1953 and served on the staffs of Jeanes and John F. Kennedy Hospitals. He conducted research in space medicine and climatology. He was a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Medical Association. He was honored for his work by the Chapel of the Four Chaplains.
Survivors: his wife, Elsie.
