JOSEPH BLUMKIN, 65, DIES

FURNITURE STORE OWNER

Joseph Blumkin, 65, of 214 Dorchester Avenue, proprietor of a furniture store bearing his name at 117 South State Street, died last night in Crouse Irving Hospital after a short illness.

A native of Russia, Mr. Blumkin lived for several years in Rochester, before coming to Syracuse 45 years ago. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and a past noble grand of Lessing Lodge 163, I.O.O.F.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Freda Blumkin; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Hiltbrand of Elbridge and Mrs. Herbert Brownstein of Rome; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Olsen of Denver and Mrs. Samuel Gluskin of Rochester.

Services will be held at 11 A.M. tomorrow in the Birnbaum Funeral Home. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
