SOL SILVER
Sol Silver, 72, of 307 Jamesville Road, Dewitt, died last night in Veteran's Administration Hospital. He was employed as an electronic engineer in the heavy military division of General Electric for 13 years.
Mr. Silver was the owner of the former Army-Navy Salvage Company here. He served as a sergeant major with the U.S. Signal Corps in World War I and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, Onondaga Post 131.
He was also a member of the Eastwood Post of the American Legion. I.U.E. Local 320, and the Scofield Barracks Masonic Lodge of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Silver, and one son, Robert M. Silver, both of Dewitt.
Services will be at 11 A.M. Friday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, Cantor Harold Lerner officiating. Burial will be in Adath Yeshurun Cemetery.
