SYRACUSANS' NEPHEW IS MISSING IN ACTION

Mr. and Mrs. Sol Silver, of 410 South Crouse Avenue, have received word that their nephew, Pvt. William A. Serby, is listed as missing in action. He is said to have been on a transport which was torpedoed early in February.

Private Serby is a son of the late M. A. Serby, a native of Syracuse, and a grandson of the late William and Sophia Serby of Syracuse. He was born in Washington, D.C., and was living with his mother at Freeport, Long Island, when he entered the Army.
